Born and raised in Southern California, Alex Kish immersed himself in the diverse music scene of Los Angeles from a young age.

Kish discovered his passion for music while studying piano at age 7. Fueled by a need to explore music further, he studied bass, drums, guitar, marimba, and vibraphone performance. During his formative years he played in a variety of musical ensembles and bands, spanning the genres of Rock'n'Roll, Blues, Jazz, Contemporary Church Worship, Metal, Classical, and Marching Band styles.

While attending the California State University, Northridge School of Music, Kish focused on film and multi-media composition, actively writing for and performing with student ensembles, and collaborating with CSUN and UCLA film school students as a composer for their projects.
